Hello blog world......long time no see!! We have a lot to catch up on! First off we have a few different wine night themes to share that are delicious!!!

1. Mediterranean night.......
Our Mediterranean night consisted of a platter that included red pepper hummus, some sort of cheese dip and a red pepper dip.....also included were some crackers and black olives. We suggest that you replace the black olives with an extra row of crackers because the olives are GROSS!!! Some of us at WWFF really enjoy dolmas or dolmades....not all of us do though so you'll have to judge for yourself with that option....but this Greek appetizer goes very well with Mediterranean night!!

2.Mexican night......
I had made some chicken mole for an event and had some leftover.....so we made a GREAT Mexican night with it! First we had our usually chips and salsa but we added queso to it.....which came in handy later!! WHat we ended up inventing we HIGHLY believe should be a Taco Bell menu item ha! We had flour tortillas and put some of the mole on it, then the queso and add some sour cream and VIOLA....you have a great munchie to add to your wine night!

3.And finally.....we had to have a health conscience option too.....so we had salad, baked potato and veggie night! Luckily, one of the girls brought along some Wendy's she had picked up and shared with us! So we had a sour cream and chive potato, apple pecan chicken salad then we added celery and ranch! Excellent excellent combo!!! And then when we're so full later we can barely breathe.....we don't feel as bad haha!!

Of course we have our W.W.F.F. night staples.....muenster cheese, tortilla chips and salsa....those are constant necessities on any wine night! We have sampled some new wines but our all time favorite is still Moscato! Our Las Vegas branch of W.W.F.F. is a fan of Pinot Grigio.....but the Denver branch felt it was too dry. Riesling is also an appropriate back up option! Soon we hope to add some photos and maybe even some video from our fun nights.......coming soon:)

We hope everyone in blogland had wonderful holidays and we wish you a New Year that brings happiness and good health!!

P.S.......The Tavern locations have 1/2 price bottles of wine allllll day on Wednesdays!!! And The Stampede is ladies night on Weds also.....so for those of you that like to have a good time on a budget.....you can get your drink and dinner on at The Tavern and then head over to Stampede where ladies have no cover and you get 5 free drinks before 11! So, even though we're not a fan of the music, you can't beat FREE!! So just get nice and "relaxed" before you go and if you have good company you'll have a great time!!

Wine night in Blackhawk and ponderng on a rock.........

Ok so Tuesday night we brought W.W.F.F. night to Blackhawk and it was highly successful!! Sweet tea vodka is DELICIOUS and goes very well with chips and salsa, loaded baked potatoes and pizza! Add a few free drinks and some roulette and an old perverted pit boss and you have a night full of laughs and full bellies:) Ameristar has some of the most comfortable beds and pillows EVER......but we would suggest closing the heavy curtain before going to sleep so you avoid the painful sunny alarm clock! Don't try to eat any left over loaded baked potato the next morning......definitely doesn't taste the same......especially after a night full of sweet tea vodka! Now....chocolate donuts are an excellent breakfast choice.....and middle of the night and any other time quite frankly!

On our way home I finally got to do what I've been wanting to do for a while......we pulled over and sat on a rock by the creek and pondered life! It woulda been perfect except the weird men doing something strange in the creek.....weird??!!! But I will definitely be doing that again sometime:) Colorado is beautiful:)

Candy corn vs. Candy pumpkins????

Candy corn vs. candy pumpkins

So this morning as we drove home from work, we stopped at Walgreen's. (never a good idea when you're tired from working all night and when it's payday!) Well all of the Halloween candy was out so naturally, we needed to get candy corn........and well since it was 2/$2.00 we needed to get another bag. So we decided to do some research.......do candy corns taste the same as the candy pumpkins?????

Well.......our scientific conclusion is...........NO!!!!

The candy pumpkins definitely have a harder outside with a softer inside and are sweeter than the candy corn. Both are delicious of course though:)

AANNNNNDDDDDD...........FYI.......Good times has sweet potato fries right now that we HIGHLY suggest!!!!!

They are the perfect combo of salty and sweet. And the marshmellow dip they come with is wonderful!!!! But you probably should get a milkshake also if you get the fries.....or maybe a red headed lemonade.....both are good options:)

Well that concludes our very first post!!!! We hope you enjoyed and we hope it helped you with some new munchie options.......there will be plenty more to come!!!!!
